2020 is a year that we will all remember. Coronavirus has changed all of our lives drastically. Activities that we are all used to participating in, such as family get togethers, schools, shuls, weddings, Bar MItzvahs, camps etc, are all not happening now. We are all stunned and saddened by the way this pandemic has changed us all.
This summer would have been my third year doing the ride. So many of you over the past two years have been so generous in supporting me on my ride. The ride as we know it will not be happening this year due to all the restrictions and health advisories that do not permit it. Hopefully the camp will open for part of the summer. Whether or not it opens fully or partially, the camp, now more than ever needs our help. I know times are tough and people have been hit hard financially. Whatever you can give will be so appreciated by the children of Camp Simcha.
We might have a ride by in August, that remains to be seen. Iyh next year we will be able to do our 100 mile ride through the Catskills into the camp. For this year, we will have to make it all about the kids who suffer from various pediatric illnesses. Camp Simcha is a remarkable overnight camp that provides seriously ill children with a vacation from sickness, restoring their spirits and renewing their determination to fight. Life is not easy for a child with cancer or other serious illness. Camp Simcha and its sister camp, Camp Simcha Special, are Chai Lifeline’s flagship programs. Every year these two camps offer 430 children a chance to forget about illness and just be kids again. To learn more about Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha special, visit campsimcha.org.
All donations are 100% tax-deductible. Canadian receipts are issued too!! Please contribute by clicking on the donate button now.
Thank you for supporting me and, in doing so, helping children and their families cope with the diagnosis, treatment, and aftermath of serious pediatric illness.
Best regards,
Faye Stein
