About 6 years ago my good friend Evan Levy lost his battle to childhood cancer. He was the cutest, funniest, most energetic kid. He had gone through so many things that a young kid should never have to experience, but yet he did everything with a huge smile on his face. Ever since he lost his battle I have become very involved in several organizations to help other kids just like him.
In addition, this past year I got very close with a 10-year old girl named Angelina who had been fighting Neuroblastoma since she was 3.5. This past December I had the privilege of taking her on a trip to Disney through the partnership of two amazing organizations (Ohr Meir & Chai Lifeline). We made memories and friends that will last forever! Unfortunately on 2/21/20 Angelina lost her battle to cancer. She was a spunky little girl, who loved food, Disney, Harry Potter, Stitch, and most importantly camp.
This is why I have chosen bike through NJ, PA and NY to raise money for Camp Simcha. Camp Simcha is a remarkable overnight camp that provides seriously ill children with a vacation from sickness, restoring their spirits and renewing their determination to fight. Every year this camp offer 430 children a chance to forget about illness and just be kids again. Angelina was really hoping to attend this camp this year, and although she won’t be able to I will be riding into camp just for her. I will be biking into camp on Tuesday, July 14th, 2020 to support all the kids just like Evan and Angelina who suffering from pediatric illness. My objective is to raise $5,000 by then, and I hope you will help me reach this goal.
Let’s do this!
